And The Linsanity Branding Begins

The entire World has caught Linsanity from Jeremy Lin’s superstardom that has taken over the entire Sports and Real World… Even President Barack Obama stated that he is quite impressed by the ball skills of Chinese/Taiwanese American Lin who also attended President Obama’s Alma mater, Harvard University.

With his Worldwide Superstardom growing with every game, leading the Knicks to a 7 game winning streak since he’s been playing, it’s only natural that all the advertisers and endorsers begin cashing in on the Linsanity Phenomenon.

Nike will soon be releasing their new line for the man of the hour… The Nike Hyperfuse 2011 Linsanity PE, the first batches of which will only be available in the Blue and Orange colors of The New York Knicks.  But considering the story and the name, I think these shoes would’ve been better if they called them “Linderella’s Slippers“.

But even with only these colors to choose from, I’m sure they will fly off the shelves just as both Lin’s Official and Counterfeit Jerseys have been doing all across the globe.

Here we go again...

So Floyd Mayweather decided to say on Twitter that Jeremy Lin is a bunch of hype simply because he’s Asian.

!! OF COURSE THAT’S WHY YOU SEE ALL THIS HYPE !!

You don’t see Asians all up and down the NBA court… practically ever.  Asians are simply not known to be ball players like that. Yao Ming was the first, and as great of a player he was during his career, he is still not the player that Jeremy Lin is.  Jeremy Lin became the Unexpected Superstar simply because nobody expects some Asian dude runnin around the court lookin like Kobe.. which is why some fans even began calling him “The Yellow Mamba”

Jeremy Lin dropped nearly 40 points in only his 4th game ever as a starter against the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant, while being defended by Derek Fisher, Matt Barnes, Steve Blake and EVEN Pau Gasol with Little to No Success!!  Does anybody remember when he shot over Pau Gasol’s 7 foot head to sink a 3 pointer as the game was closing out ??  In all honesty, I knew Knicks would win that game… and I knew that Jeremy Lin would be the team’s leader that night.  If I was in Vegas, I would have def thrown down on the +170 Moneyline.  But even I didn’t expected such an extraordinary game against one of the NBA’s Elite teams.

Kid’s 23 years old as well, and a complete Underdog story.  The whole sleepion on the brother’s couch nonsense, along with all the teams that never gave him a real chance… also probably because he was ASIAN.

So in the end, there’s a lot more to Jeremy Lin’s fanfare than just his game play.  It’s his entire story, and it is in fact also because he’s Asian, transcending a game where there are no Asians.  The same reason why Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors let him pass them by is the same reason why the whole world is enamored by Jeremy.  With him, the only thing you can expect is in fact the unexpected.

I haven’t watched full NBA games in a while.  I simply don’t have the time these days.  But being a Los Angeles Laker Fan and a Chinese American, I am thankful i watched such an extraordinary and historic game from start to finish.  A game where Jeremy showed not only his incredible ball skills, but his unselfish play that has unlocked a new potential in the New York Knicks.

With Jeremy Lin… They WILL make the Playoffs.

The Linsanity Of Linning In Lin City

Kobe Bryant said before Friday Night’s Game that he doesn’t know who Jeremy Lin is.

It’s safe to say he does now.  Jeremy led the New York Knicks to a 92-85 Victory over the visiting Los Angeles Lakers, scoring the highest of any player in the game at a Career High 38 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists.

Props to the Chinese-American Jeremy Lin who has taken the Sports World and the Real World by Storm… even prompting fans at MSG to hold up a sign calling him “The Yellow Mamba”

Ay, anything that shows Baron Davis his Karma for Throwing Sand in My Eyes while bring out a bit of God’s Justice is fine by me.  It’s no coincidence that his starting position is being taken over by a Chinese dude.

He has well earned the chants of “MVP” at Madison Square Garden, just before Jeremy thanked God for the Victory.

The Powerfully Presenced Damon Elliott was spotted at The Coffee Bean in Beverly Hills with his Legendary and Iconic Mother, none other than Dionne Warwick, both cousins to the Great Whitney Houston.  One can not only thank Dionne for all of her memorable music through the decades, but can also thank her from producing her prodigious progeny, Grammy Award Winning Damon, who’s responsible for monumental songs like “Lady Marmalade” which featured Mya, Pink, Lil’ Kim, Missy Elliott and Christina Aguilera, as well as P!nk’s Revolutionary “M!ssundaztood” album, and also worked with other great ladies like Beyonce, Destiny’s Child, Gwen Stefani, Jessica Simpson and Mel. B.

Oh, and if you know anything about Damon, you know he’s got nothing but love for the Chinese peeps and culture, so that’s of course an added plus on this site.    … Btw, if You click on this little link , I was the one who filmed this clip back in my TMZ days.
