Lightning Over Las Vegas posted by Garry "Prophecy" Sun on August 24, 2012

We seem to have all been experiencing some strange weather patterns this year

But Las Vegas went from 116+ Degree weather to having Lightning and Thunderstorms, to Flash Flooding and dropping the Temp 45 degrees to a lowly 71 Degrees just a day after.

So I just so happened to be driving around The Ridges, an Exclusive Housing Community in Summerlin in Las Vegas.  It was about 2am and I could still see some remnants of the Lightning Storm that passed over the Vegas Strip just hours before.

The Wicked Witch Of The West Coast Is Not Very Green… She Kills Two Hollywood Palm Trees With Her Tornado Winds posted by Garry "Prophecy" Sun on December 1, 2011

The Wicked Witch... Up To Her Old Tricks

In what looks like an updated scene from “The Wizard Of Oz“, Two unsuspecting and innocent Hollywood Palm Trees lost their lives yesterday on Sunset Blvd., right near the Wendy’s on La Brea, after yesterday’s Santa Ana winds, clocking in at 80 mph took a toll on their decades old roots.

The entire westbound side of Sunset had to be closed off, as evidence of crazy Tornado style winds made it impossible for vehicles to get through.

My What Long Legs You Have

Yikes... Remind You Of Anything ??

You can’t tell me these two Palm trees laying by the wall like that don’t remind you of The Wicked Witch of the East’s shriveled up old legs that curled away when the Ruby Slippers disappeared before Dorothy’s eyes.

And Ironically, the Palm Trees took a chunk of the wall behind them, exposing their bricks, reminiscent of the Yellow Brick Road.

Do you ever get the feeling of Deja Vu ?? Do you ever get the feeling of Deja Vu ??

And you know, Southland residents are not accustomed to such weather extremes, leading to power outages that probably freaked out all of Hollywood.

Maybe Hollywood IS the Land of Oz… Well, it’s more like the Land of Odd.

The Death Toll in 5 Southern states rose to nearly 200 today, after Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia and Virginia all experienced powerful storms that swept across the states.

Storms spawned Tornadoes and winds that swept up businesses and homes, and even left a Nuclear Reactor to run on their backup generators.. Yeah, that’s not gonna instill fear in us in these days and times.

Alabama has a total 128 confirmed deaths, 32 in Mississippi, 11 in George, 6 in Tennesse and 1 in Virginia.
