Man, it was an Ugly Pre-Season for this New Gen Hall of Fame / Dream Team (Schmeme Team) Lakers, losing every single pre-season game the NBA Offered up.
Now, the news is No Bueno, cause they couldn’t even hold their own against the Dallas Mavericks last night, losing their first game of the NBA 2012-2013 Season, after losing each pre-season game, taking a 99-91 Loss against Mark Cuban’s Team.
Before the game began, Kobe Bryant made an announcement at Staples Center, stating that there’s a lot of expectations, and that the Lakers are working “real hard” to live up to those expectations. Rrriighghhttt !!
Even with “Superman” Dwight Howard, and Steve “White Earvin” Nash, they still can’t get out this slump. Reminds me of when Shaq and Kobe enlisted the help of Gary Payton and Karl Malone, only to be utterly defeated with injuries, and a lack of team chemistry do to the lack of game play.
Let’s Hope this isn’t a “three-peat” of those failed attempts of the past to put a Dream Team together for Kobe before the end of his career.
Especially since the Lakers brings out such star studded audience members. They brought together the Awkward reuniting of Katy Perry and Russell Brand under one roof… Andy Garcia, Pete Sampras and his Children… and speaking of split marriages with Russell and katy, Liberty Ross also showed up to the game. you know, “wife” of Rupert Sanders who got caught in the Kristen Stewart Scandal.
We also saw the likes of Patrick Schwarzenegger with mom Maria Shriver, Transformers Director Michael Bay, Earvin Magic Johnson, and Playboy Hotties Kristina Shannon with BFF Ashley Mattingly, and Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff.. And Mr. Maroon The Voice Himself.. Adam Levine.

One Of The Best Heavyweight Champs That Ever Lived
Rap and Hip-Hop Pioneer and Legend Heavy D, born Dwight Arrington Myers, died today at just 44 years old. Sources close to the Hip-Hop Legend say that he had just come home from shopping when he began to have difficulty breathing after heading up a flight of stairs. He was found by Adam Mills, a Designer who was in the building, when Heavy told him “I can’t breathe“.
a 911 call was placed from his building this morning, and died shortly after being transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Some medical personnel at Cedars have been overheard saying that Heavy died of an apparent Heart Attack.
And with a Legend like Heavy, it’s only fitting that he leaves with a Legendary outro. Heavy D took to his twitter yesterday, to pay his last respect to Smokin Joe Frazier, calling him “one of the best heavyweight champs that ever lived” just after retweeting Shaquille O’Neal who was doing the same.

Dennis Rodman Brings Color And Flavor To Millions Of Milkshakes In Culver City
I guess since it’s an NBA Lockout, all the players have to resort to making Millions of Milkshakes, cause just two days after Shawn Marion got his shake, soon to be NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman came through with his own shake designed for party animals like Rodman.

So Dennis brought his colorful splendor down to the Culver City Shopping Westfield Shopping Center to make his own shake at Millions of Milkshakes, but he of course decided to add to the “Hangover” crowd, as did Hangover 2′s Kim Lee, by including the GTOX Detox Formula. As a matter of fact, Dennis was so excited about introducing this GTOX Milkshake, that he even made the shake and introduced it on last night’s Jay Leno Show.
So the Official name of Dennis’s Shake is the “GTOX Hangover Blocker Shake“, which includes pineapple, mango, strawberries, The GTOX Detox Formula, and Vanilla Ice Cream… oh, and he did opt for some Soy Milk as well.

Dennis had a lot of great things to share while being interviewed before making the shake. He even spoke of the NBA Lockout, and said that “When you basically have players making Millions of dollars essentially doing nothing, you’re going to have problems. Then you have players getting injured and wanting to sit out a year making $60 Million Dollars.” He also said “The Days of 8 Figure Salaries Are over“.

Dennis, who played for 2 of the most successful NBA Franchises in NBA History, the Chicago Bulls alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, as well as teaming up with the Los Angeles Lakers with Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal. Dennis is also the rightful owner of 5 Championship rings and will be receiving his place in the Naismith Hall of Fame this year, and it’s only proper that Coach Phil Jackson will be introducing the new inductee, who coached him for both Lakers and the Bulls.
Dennis is a Seven Time Leader in the NBA in Rebounds, but his wild antics in life off the court caused much controversy to surround his career, and has been linked to relationships with both Madonna and Carmen Electra… making him not just “The Man“, but the “Rod-Man“. Sadly, Dennis even thought he would never make the Hall of Fame, thinking his off court choices didn’t properly represent the Hall. Even his colleagues doubted he would ever get in.

But the committee knew that Dennis advanced the game in many areas, and one can’t deny he was probably the most Rock Star of NBA Players of all times, as displayed by his choice of outfits for Millions of Milkshakes.

Dr. “Big Pimpin” Jerry Buss reminded us this weekend exactly why we’ve given him that name. Dude is “THE MAN“.
And when I say he’s the man, i’m speaking lightly. Few in this world and in our time are able to have achieved the level of success as this man has in all his endeavors which of course include being one of the NBA’s Greatest Franchise Owners of All Time by leading the Los Angeles Lakers to their Historic Career. But what makes his presence even more overwhelming, is seeing how many people are enamored by him, want to give him a hug, shake his hand or take a picture, and Jerry so graciously obliges, with every one who tries. Now that is something that definitely makes him “THE MAN“.

And of course, we’re not the only ones who think he’s “THE MAN”… Apparently everyone who attended the 2011 Tribute Gala In Honor Of Jerry Buss at GLOW Ultra Lounge in the Marina Del Ray Marriott seemed to think so as well, which also included SunOfHollywood.com’s Red Hot Resident, Phoebe Price and Right Hand Man Miguel Nunez Jr. The event was hosted by the amazingly beautiful and talented Jennifer Braff, Jerry’s Executive Assistant and friend of 20 years, as well as a star on NBC’s show “Age Of Love“. And not only was Jennifer looking stunning, but she gave Big Pimpin Buss the Performance and Serenade of a Lifetime. But you’ll have to check back for Jennifer’s performance, which I would say was definitely the real show !!
Whenever Jerry Buss Is Involved... Someone Always Puts On A Show
So one would definitely say it was an excellent evening, especially since they had The EC Twins spinning for the crowd. But what made this evening most exciting was seeing how Jerry has not only chosen to live his life to the fullest, but he enjoys sharing his blessings with others. During Jennifer’s performance, she was almost brought to tears of how Jerry convinced her to return to College and further her Education. And we’re pretty sure she’s not the only one who Jerry has helped and encouraged to turn their life around.
When asked by CBS Sports what is the secret behind his success, he easily replied “Hard Work“… and I’d probably listen to him if I were you.

And in true Rock Star tradition… Jerry Buss was definitely a hit with the ladies. Did he not only have women clamoring over him all around the party, but his VIP Table was definitely filled with women who just want to be around the guy. And who can blame them.
