SunOfLasVegas.com: Avril Lavigne made an appearance today at the Las Vegas MAGIC Convention, accompanying Abbey Dawn at their fashion booth.

While she was there, she announced to the crowd and fans that she was Engaged to Nickelback Frontman Chad Kroeger. I didn’t even know they were dating. Damn… I guess Brody Jenner got dusted, just as Deryck Whibley did long ago too.

Together they can be one Big Happy Same-Sounding Song Family.

I don’t know, but in my opinion, anything regarding Marriage, Engagement, or anything of the sorts in Vegas is doomed for failure.  But I suppose they both have Canadian Citizenship on their side
