Instagram is taking over the world for real.  Disney / Lucasfilm / Star Wars just released a new 15 second trailer on the photo app to their bajillions of followers, proving once again how social media has taken over the Entertainment Industry

“The Force Awakens” is becoming quite the spectacle, with all sorts of Star Wars related collectibles surfacing just before the big release in December.

George Lucas Will Now Have A Whole Lot More Time And Money To Knit A Whole Lot More Bigazz Sweaters At Starbucks

George Lucas finally decided to cash out on his Star Wars Empire.

The Movie Mogul has sold his beloved “Lucasfilm” Brainchild to Disney for a whopping $4,005,000,000.00.  Yeah, that’s 4 Billion and $5 Million Dollars.  I guess that extra 5 was done just for commissions and brokers fees or whatever.

So he’ll be selling all the Star Wars and Indiana Jones Rights to Disney, and Disney plans on making an Episode 7 to be released in 2015, and and Episode 8 and 9.  They then plan on continuing the franchise with a film every 2 or 3 years.

So for you Die Hard Star Wars fans, that means this franchise will never die… for the most part.

George Lucas will also be turning over his prized high-tech production companies, Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound.  Lucasfilm now joins the ranks of other film companies like Pixar, Marvel, ESPN and ABC to be gobbled up by Walt’s Empire.
