Jolie wrote an article for the New York Times Entitled “My Medical Choice“, where she explains her difficult decision to have the procedure performed to prevent her future risk of Breast Cancer. She shares how the devastating loss of her mother, Marcheline Bertrand to Breast Cancer at only 56 years of Age was her motivation of taking the proactive approach.
