Psy’s Worldwide Mega-Hit “Gangnam Style” is looking to pull in close to $10 Million Dollars for 2012.

The various sources of Revenue created by the single shows how new avenues and streams of income can be created with the right demand, and take advantage of the digital age we are living in.  Ironically, it is the Digital Age itself that has struck the recording industry where it hurt the most… in Record Sales.

But Gangnam Style has become the Most Viewed and Most Liked Video in the entire history of YouTube… even beating out Prior Champ Justin Bieber.  And ad revenues from the video alone are projected to make about $1 Million Dollars.  The single has also been downloaded 3 Million times on iTunes at $1.29 a pop.  Psy and his team and companies will be keeping about $3 Million from those downloads.

And then there’s the licensing of the song for use on commercials and to represent products… such as Korean Electronics Giant Samsung, which has used Psy to push their new Fridges.

Heck, Gangnam Style is an Economy within itself… even bringing up the value of the share price for DI Corp, a company which makes equipment for semiconductor companies.. of which Psy’s family owns 30%.  The company saw its height at an 8-fold increase of its prior pricing, just as Gangnam Style was reaching its Worldwide Peak.

Oh yeah, and let’s not forget that this huuuuge success came about by the World’s Firsts Asian Music Artist to garner such Worldwide success and appeal.  You have to admit, nobody could have ever admitted, or predicted that a song would play on the Radio where 98% of its words are in Korean.

So Props to Psy for making noticeable waves in the Industry… Waves strong enough to turn the tides of the way it feels about Asian Artists

If you think Hollywood works the way it’s staged, just like the movies, all glitz and glamour and perfection, forget it, it’s actually a tough job for most of the entertainers in the business even when it comes to simply trying to enjoy yourself at a party…and the Twilight Zone begins… At recording artist/tv personality Vikki Lizzi’s annual b’day bash, it was a  circus of circumstances.

Monkeys were jumping around and the surprise performance of the evening from Kuba Ka… well his show producer had not only forgotten the music but also the microphone at home, however the pop prince arrived on time, made his appearance and even tried to buy his own track off of Itunes to play it so as not to disappoint VIkki and the anxiously awaiting crowd of people including celebs Corey Feldman, Prodigal Sunn, Wu Tang Clan, Isaac Singleton Jr., Sabrina Parisi, (Sabrina and Vikki’s show on TLC airs on Oct 30, and are working on their new show) Pamela Bach Hasselhoff and Al Walser accompanied by the Prince of Germany along with DJ Serafin who was spinning for Vikki’s bday, but was informed that the dj spinning before him took the turn tables so Serafin could not spin, so the amazing Serafin took out his ipod and at least got to play Vikki’s favorite drop mix.

In the midst of the chaos, as Kuba was trying to get things under control,  the dancers ran away, leaving the determined entertainer to figure out how to make the night work even without them. In essence the performance was postponed and the surprise under Kuba’s jacket will just have to remain a surprise as the management has agreed to give Vikki a make up Bday party as the manager of the venue, the elegant Naya had quit the day before the event and no one knew what they were doing at the trendy lounge. Found out an a-lister’s date went missing and security had to look all over for the beauty and Vikki’s new single which she intended to debut that night, also went missing. Some drunk, random papparazzi somehow got into the club and the crowd was displeased however it would seem Vikki had a breather at the after party with Prodigal Sunn which knowing Vikki and her connection with true artists, will probably be doing some music together we hope? Looking forward to the highly anticipated show airing this month with Vikki and Sabrina and Vikki’s duet with Kuba in the works on Universal Records.

Kuba and Vikki discovered this year that they have been through similar circumstances in their lives and are now writing a song about past dark challenges and moving on after both having nearly been killed… sounds like it will be an epic controversial song…just like the two of them…..never the less, the party continues….

El DeBarge was the Proud Poppa, Uncle And Family Man of the Evening, as he’s seen with his neice and daughter, Kristinia and Adris DeBarge.

The Family Tree-O came together at The Belasco Theater in Downtown Los Angeles last night to Celebrate the Release of Kristinia’s latest Single “Cry Wolf” now available on Amazon and iTunes.

And while El may have been the Proud DeBarge Man of the Evening, the Night Belonged to Kristinia !! We’ve got a whole lot more from this night where Kristinia rocked the Stage for her special peeps to celebrate the release.  And she even had a very special introduction from Melissa Molinaro.

Celebrity Apprentice and Danity Kane Star Aubrey O’Day released her single “Wrecking Ball” today, which is available on iTunes, by stopping by Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show” Studio in Burbank.

She of course brought down a copy of her single, and looked amazing in Aqua Blue.  With her outfit looking like the Ocean’s Waters, and her hair freshly Auburn, she kinda reminds me of Little Mermaid’s Arielle right now… Only her voice hasn’t been taken by Ursula yet, so she can still record songs.

 

And just as Jay was gracious enough… Aubrey also shared some personal time with her fans that waited outside for her.

 

Hustlin like a true woman who deserves her Success.  She is a Rare Specimen.

Jay Leno is seen leaving out of Monday’s filming of “The Tonight Show” at the NBC Studios in Burbank.  His guest for the day was none other than SunOfHollywood.com favorite, Aubrey O’Day, who shared about her music and her recently dropped single, “Wrecking Ball” which also came out on iTunes on Monday.

As Jay’s leaving, he’s seen with one of his most recent additions to his extensive Exotic & Classic Car Collection, a McLaren MP4-12C, which sounds a lot more like a High Quality Digital Video or Sound file than an exotic car.

Jay’s Bronze colored McLaren would defintely not settle for Bronze Medal in a race tho, at up to 800 hp and a top speed of 205 mph, he’ll pretty much be taking home Gold in any race.

And so nice for Jay to stop in his Quarter Million Dollar Car to sign for fans while his Police Escort awaits.

Writer Of LMFAO’s Super Smash Hit Song Stupendous, “Sexy And I Know It”, George Robertson was not only chillin with Redfoo and Bruno Mars at Katsuya last night, but he had a super betty join him for dinner in none other than Former Miss USA, Rima Fakih… Some guys have all the luck.  And lucky for Rima, she had herself a Designated Driver… She aynt tryin to run into the same DUI mess she’s had to deal with all year and recently plead No Contest for.  She also made sure to express her empathy for Amanda Bynes and the mess she’s going through… but anywho, back to the lecture at hand.

So for those of you who may not be familiar with George’s work, not only has he been instrumental in his work with Interscope Records and the careers of several of your favorite Musical Artists and Hollywood types over the years, but yes he did in fact write that song that y’all keep bumpin in the Clubs, Commercials, Shows, Movies and downloadin on iTunes, “Sexy And I Know It“.. And I’m sure all their Bank Accounts are thanking you for it right about the freak now.  Yeah, those accounts are Sexy and They Know It.

Erin Bria Wright, otherwise known as E.B. Wright, is bustin the scene wide open just like her father Eric “Eazy-E” Wright did so many years ago with Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren and DJ Yella did with N.W.A.  The group is responsible for revolutionizing Rap and Hip-Hop by birthing the future of the West Coast Gangsta Rap Movement, so people should realize that Erin is in a sense Hip-Hop Royalty, somewhat of a Princess if you will. 

News of her new single, “What I Wanna Do”, where she’s singin her Wright behind off,  hit the world this week and immediately she’s been blowin’ up the spot to see how she’s ready to enter into the arena.  She’s even been given her own Milkshake at Millions of Milkshakes in no time flat.  She beautifully named hers the “We Want E.B. Shake“, a  beautiful play on the title to her father’s song “We Want Eazy“.

And Wednesday definitely had to be a monumental moment for this young lady.  It was not only her Father’s Birthday, and not only did she launch her own Milkshake… But her single was also released on iTunes.  Doin it big girl.  And how beautiful that she wore a shirt in honor of Eazy.

When I had the chance to meet her for the first time, I had to let her know that her life is heading in a great direction and her musical direction is amazing. She should be proud of what she’s been doing with herself.  And since I also promised her that I would download her new single, here’s photographic proof that I downloaded it on iTunes.  And guess what, not only did I download it, but I downloaded it twice !!!

This is amazing and unbelievable at the same time.  Adele’s album, “Roll” will see it’s 7th week at #1 on top of the music sales charts, with a projected total to come in at 150,000 copies sold… ON HER SEVENTH WEEK !!!! “Roll” will likely see an album sales total of 1 1/2 Million copies in the U.S. and 2 Million overseas.  Congratulations Adele, 7 weeks straight only gets seen by albums from the likes of Eminem, Taylor Swift and Susan Boyle.

Let’s put this into contrast on two grounds.  First, Eminem’s album “The Eminem Show” released in May of 2002 went 6 weeks at #1 and “The Marshall Mathers LP” released in 2000.. Now while both album sold 1.3 Million albums (in a short week) and 1.76 Million albums in their first weeks respectively, it was also before our culture has fully been conditioned to no longer buy music through internet piracy.  File sharing was just beginning then.

Other females that have hit such weeks at #1 are Susan Boyle, Taylor Swift and Norah Jones, with Taylor racking up an impressive 11 weeks at #1 for her “Fearless” album.  Fearless and powerful indeed.

But what makes this even more impressive to me, is that J. Lo pulled out every promotional vehicle you could think of… Extra with Mario Lopez, American Idol, Hard Rock Cafe appearances with fans and interviews, with major celebrity help even from Audrina Patridge and Pia Toscano… And J. Lo still couldn’t even come close to phasing Adele’s 7th week at #1 after already selling 4 Million albums worldwide.

Wow… What makes that even more fu@ked up, is that J. Lo is only likely to sell around 60,000 copies for her “Love” album’s first week in release.  Dangit, those 3 fine ladies couldn’t even pull out 20,000 albums for each beautiful celebrity lady face.  So in other words, in this instance… “Sex Did Not Sell” !!  Remember that ladies and gentlemen.  Sex will not guarantee a sale, regardless of the industry’s theorized ideal.  Even with the help of 20+ Million weekly American Idol viewers.

Holy crap.  So yeah, biggest props to Adele ever.  You’re knockin out superstars left and right.  And the way things are looking for next week, without another J. Lo promo machine type contender, Adele may just “Roll” hera$$ onto 8 weeks at #1, tying “The Marshall Mathers LP”.

It was recently discovered by researchers Alasdair Allan and Pete Warden that all 3G iPhones and iPads manufactured by Apple have been seriously invading the privacy of its owners, by giving a detailed map of its every location.  It was found that it doesn’t track your whereabouts like GPS, but actually triangulates your latitude and longitudinal coordinates from cell towers.

What makes this worse, is that it will not only keep a detailed map of everywhere you have been, but also your computer if it interfaces your iPhone or iPad via iTunes.  In fact, anybody can access the file it’s saved to, and check your whole mobile history.  Again, this is not like GPS, so there is no way to turn this feature off.  It is an automatic feature that has been kept a hidden secret from the public the entire time the world’s most popular cell phone has been on the free market.

To me, this is no surprise.  For those of you that are unfamiliar, the very logo behind Apple Computers is an apple with a bite taken out of it, as it is to represent the fruit that was taken from the Garden of Eden, in which Adam and Eve took a bite to let sin enter into the world.

What’s even more effed up, is that the first Apple computer, the Apple I, sold for $666.
