Here's To Hoping The Heel Heals
Los Angeles Lakers Wounded Basketball Phenom Kobe Bryant just posted to his Instagram a photo of his Achilles Tendon Surgery with the caption “One Month Ago Yesterday”.
Kobe Bryant, who ruptured his Achilles Tendon in the 4th Quarter against Golden State Warriors is said to be out nearly 9 months, and may never be able to play again at the same level prior to the injury.
A torn Achilles Tendon is one that few are able to come back to the game after, and are never seen playing at their prior level of performance. Others who have suffered the same injury include Dominique Wilkins and Chauncey Billups.
Even the resilient will that we’ve all known over the years to come from Kobe Bryant… Even he may not be able to bounce back from this. Sad to know the Black Mamba Era may in fact be over. The Irony of the Story of Achilles.

Lakers Star Jordan Hill has joined Susan G. Komen in the Fight Against Breast Cancer and will be participating in their Annual Race For The Cure.
But when Jordan joined Susan G. Komen at the Stadium Club in Dodger’s Stadium… He explained why Breast Cancer is such an issue for him and so close to his heart…
He shared with Lisa Sigell of KCAL 9 News the Heartbreaking Story of growing up without knowing his Mother, because he Lost her to Breast Cancer when he was only 3 years old.

The Pain in his voice just shows how deeply saddened he is knowing he grew up without his Mother, wishing he had known her. And so he chooses to make sure he can do what he can to make sure nobody else has to go through what he had to go through.. Life without his mother.

The World’s Most Infamous On-Again / Off-Again Couple, Rihanna And Chris Brown, are certainly looking On again as they were seen on the Lakers Sidelines at the Staples Center for the Christmas Game of the Lakers vs. the New York Knicks.
As ABC’s NBA Cam caught a glimpse of Mike D’Antoni trying to coach the failing Lakers, an uncomfortable looking Chris Brown, and a head ducking Rihanna were spotted trying to remain inconscpicuous on Jesus’s Birthday.

Here we go again...
So Floyd Mayweather decided to say on Twitter that Jeremy Lin is a bunch of hype simply because he’s Asian.
!! OF COURSE THAT’S WHY YOU SEE ALL THIS HYPE !!
You don’t see Asians all up and down the NBA court… practically ever. Asians are simply not known to be ball players like that. Yao Ming was the first, and as great of a player he was during his career, he is still not the player that Jeremy Lin is. Jeremy Lin became the Unexpected Superstar simply because nobody expects some Asian dude runnin around the court lookin like Kobe.. which is why some fans even began calling him “The Yellow Mamba”
Jeremy Lin dropped nearly 40 points in only his 4th game ever as a starter against the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant, while being defended by Derek Fisher, Matt Barnes, Steve Blake and EVEN Pau Gasol with Little to No Success!! Does anybody remember when he shot over Pau Gasol’s 7 foot head to sink a 3 pointer as the game was closing out ?? In all honesty, I knew Knicks would win that game… and I knew that Jeremy Lin would be the team’s leader that night. If I was in Vegas, I would have def thrown down on the +170 Moneyline. But even I didn’t expected such an extraordinary game against one of the NBA’s Elite teams.
Kid’s 23 years old as well, and a complete Underdog story. The whole sleepion on the brother’s couch nonsense, along with all the teams that never gave him a real chance… also probably because he was ASIAN.
So in the end, there’s a lot more to Jeremy Lin’s fanfare than just his game play. It’s his entire story, and it is in fact also because he’s Asian, transcending a game where there are no Asians. The same reason why Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors let him pass them by is the same reason why the whole world is enamored by Jeremy. With him, the only thing you can expect is in fact the unexpected.
I haven’t watched full NBA games in a while. I simply don’t have the time these days. But being a Los Angeles Laker Fan and a Chinese American, I am thankful i watched such an extraordinary and historic game from start to finish. A game where Jeremy showed not only his incredible ball skills, but his unselfish play that has unlocked a new potential in the New York Knicks.
With Jeremy Lin… They WILL make the Playoffs.

Tony Rock Wants To Pick Up Game Where Kobe Bryant Lost
Tony Rock was spotted at a Gas Station in Hollywood this weekend, where he was asked about Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant and the Greatest Loss of His Career, potentially costing him upwards of $75,000,000 Dollars… Losing his wife Vanessa Bryant.
Tony not only says Kobe is an idiot for not having a Prenuptial Agreement, but he also tries to brainstorm ways that he might be able to have a shot at Vanessa, even possibly sending her a Tweet to “Get at” him.
I guess now that Vanessa has “Kobe Money“, she’s that much more appealing.
Vanessa Bryant recently filed for divorce after alleged evidence that has led Vanessa to believe he continually cheats on their nearly 11 year marriage.
Tony Rock also said Snoop Dogg would be the perfect “Dog to Man Translator“. He definitely knows how to Sniff out the Sticky Icky.

He Dances From Another Atmosphere
Mad Props to this dude… Nonstop, who’s been lighting the internet on fire in the last few days by showing off his absolutely unreal dance moves, Robotic Dubstep style, to a remix of Butch Clancy, in a way that I can guarantee has never been witnessed before.
And in truth, I believe Nonstop will be considered the greatest to ever Dubstep. In other words, he’ll be considered the Greatest, as Michael Jordan is to Basketball, or Rodney Mullen to Freestyle Skateboarding, or how some considered Mike Tyson to Boxing or Tiger Woods to Golf… Pre-Hoochie Groupie Scandal. He was clearly born to do this, and the rest of the world has no choice but to marvel when people follow the path in which they are destined to Master. Mark My words… He WILL be considered the Master of this Art Form.
He also recently appeared on “So You Think You Can Dance” with his dance crew, REMOTEKONTROL.
Nonstop moves like he’s dancing from another world, with a lighter atmosphere, where gravity has less of an effect than it does to us minor Earthlings. And let’s not forget to mention the fact that he moves like he has no joints or bones whatsoever. The Huffington Post cleverly said “he moves like a skyflatable in a slow-motion tornado… underwater.. and I would have to agree.
He’s been viewed about 2 Million times in just a few short days, and let’s be sure to add him more to blow him out of this atmosphere. As if he hasn’t done it himself already.

Unfortunately... Kobe may be feeling like an a$$ for a little while
NBA Comissioner David Stern fined Kobe Bryant $100,000 for what he said were “offensive and inexcusable” comments made during last night’s home game against the San Antonio Spurs. Kobe used an expletive and an anti-gay slur against a referee after giving the Lakers star a technical foul.
Kobe apologized publicly today stating that his use of the word were used in the heat of the moment of the game, and do not reflect the way he feels about the gay and lesbian community. Kobe also had a phone conversation with Joe Solomonese, President of the Human Rights Campaign, apologizing for his actions.
Solomonese gave a statement that he had a very sincere conversation with Kobe, and they applaud his ability for Kobe to take responsibility for his actions. Solomonese also applauded Comissioner Sterns decision to fine Kobe and to issue the proper statement to the world for Kobe’s actions at a time when “bullying” is also at an all time high around our country, and our world.
Comissioner Stern said in a statement Wednesday:
“Kobe Bryant’s comment during last night’s game was offensive and inexcusable. While I’m fully aware that basketball is an emotional game, such a distasteful term should never be tolerated. Accordingly, I have fined Kobe $100,000. Kobe and everyone associated with the NBA know that insensitive or derogatory comments are not acceptable and have no place in our game or society.”
$100K is a drop in the bucket for Kobe, so while this may be harmful towards his image for now, if he really wanted to punish him, he should’ve done something like a 3 week suspension without pay, especially now while teams are still fighting for their playoff standings.
But guess what, I’m from LA so I probably wouldn’t want that !
What I’ve never understood, is how much profanity occurs on an NBA court during any given game. You would think they would all know by now that there’s damn near 40 video cameras floatin’ around these stadiums at all times, and peeps with microphones and everything. Come on now, you know you hear it on tv all the time, when they’re playin and yell out things like “shi!t!” or “m@ther#ucker”. And we always laugh.
